About Dietrio

Dietrio is a mobile app for iOS and Android that connects people who want nutrition guidance with nutrition experts. It is operated by Dietrio from Amman, Jordan.

This website is informational. The service itself lives in the app.

By creating an account or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use Dietrio.

Who can use Dietrio

There is no minimum age for clients. Anyone who wants nutrition guidance can hold a client account.

If a client is under 18, a parent or guardian agrees to these terms on their behalf and sets the account up for them.

Experts must be 18 or older. That requirement is set out in "If you are an expert" below.

Your account

You verify your email address with a one-time code when you register. One account per person, and the details on it must be your own.

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so write to [email protected] straight away if you think someone else has got into it.

Sessions are tied to the device you signed in from, so access on one device does not carry over to another.

Accounts for under-18s

Where the client is under 18, a parent or guardian agrees to these terms on the young person's behalf.

That parent or guardian is responsible for the account and for everything done under it.

They can also see, correct or delete the data held under the account at any time.

We may ask you to confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed.

If you are a client

To be matched with an expert you fill in a health profile: height, weight, gender, date of birth, activity level, your goals, your dietary preferences, any food allergies and any medical conditions.

Your expert works from what you tell them, so it needs to be accurate. If something changes (a new allergy, a new medication, a new diagnosis), update your profile and tell your expert.

If you are an expert

You must be 18 or older to apply as an expert. There is no minimum age for clients.

When you apply, you upload a genuine professional license and a CV. Dietrio administrators read those documents and then approve or reject your application. You cannot take on clients until you are approved.

Experts are independent providers, not Dietrio employees. We check that your credentials are real; we do not supervise your practice and we do not guarantee the advice you give. The professional relationship is between you and your client.

The expert platform subscription

To practice on Dietrio you pay us for a platform subscription. Plans differ in what they let you do.

You can pay from your Dietrio wallet, by CliQ transfer, or in cash. A wallet payment activates the subscription immediately. CliQ and cash payments have to be verified by an administrator first, so there is a wait before the subscription starts.

Every payment produces an invoice on your account.

A subscription runs for a fixed term. You can renew it yourself, or turn on auto-renewal and let it renew for you. If payment does not arrive in time there is a grace period before the subscription expires.

Upgrading replaces your current plan. Time left on the plan you replaced is not carried over and is not refunded.

Our Refund Policy covers when a platform subscription can be refunded.

Arrangements between clients and experts

A client asks to subscribe to an expert in the app, and the expert accepts or declines. What the two of you agree on (the fee, the schedule, how and when it is paid) is between you.

No money for those arrangements passes through Dietrio. We are not a party to them, we do not hold the funds and we cannot refund them. Agree the terms with each other before you start.

Nutrition guidance, not medical advice

Dietrio provides nutrition guidance. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for seeing a physician.

Speak to a doctor before you change your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, if you are pregnant, or if you are taking medication.

If you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services. Do not wait for a reply in the app.

How you may use Dietrio

When you use Dietrio you agree not to:

• Register under a false identity, or submit credentials that are not genuinely yours.
• Present yourself as an approved expert when you are not one.
• Harass, abuse or threaten anyone on the platform.
• Share another person's health information without their consent.
• Post unlawful, sexually explicit or otherwise harmful content.
• Scrape, probe, overload or work around any part of the platform or its security controls.

Suspension, blocking and deletion

We may suspend, block or delete any account that is used unethically, abusively, or in breach of these terms. Depending on how serious it is, we may do that with or without prior notice.

An expert's approval can be revoked in the same way, which ends their ability to take on clients.

No refund is due on an account we terminate for a breach.

If you believe we have made a mistake, write to [email protected] and we will look at it again.

Your content and ours

What you upload stays yours. You give us the permission we need to store it, process it and show it to the people it is meant for: your expert, your client, or an administrator reviewing it.

The Dietrio name, logo, app and software are ours. Using the service does not give you any right to them.

Availability

Dietrio is offered as it is, and it is still growing. Features may change, and some may be withdrawn.

We do not promise that the service will always be available or uninterrupted.

Limits on our liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost income, lost data or lost opportunity, arising out of your use of Dietrio.

Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid Dietrio in the 12 months before the claim arose.

None of this limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we will tell you in the app or by email, and the date at the top of this page will show the current version.

Continuing to use Dietrio after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and any dispute is heard by the courts of Amman.
